Me Before You, review by Shalaina P.

The novel, Me Before You, by Jojo Moyes, is an enriching love story filled with twists and turns.  Each scenario that the main character, Louisa Clark, encounters makes you eager to read more.

When Louisa loses her job at a cafe, she is forced to find a job that pays well to support her family.  Louisa finds a job that involves helping a man, Will Traynor, who is disabled after his tragic accident.  Will is a stubborn man who is grouchy at times and cannot be the easiest to please.  He lived a very big life, millionaire man, girls at his door every night, and crushing people with his business deals.  He went from being such a known, well-liked man to living in a wheelchair for the rest of his life and being all alone within a split second.  Louisa, on the other hand, is very outgoing and bubbly.  She is corny with her jokes, wears foolish outfits, and talks too much.

This story is all about how Will and Louisa, two completely different people and lifestyles, come together and learn how to teach one another despite their differences.  Although Will is in a wheelchair, Louisa tries to uplift him and show him the positive aspects of living, regardless of the state he’s in.  Will teachers Louisa that she needs to go out more and live life to the fullest.  The end is an ending you would not expect, leaving you in tears. I would rate this book an eight out of ten because there was not a moment in my day where I was not wondering what would happen between these two characters.
